Corona Cruise

(1/1)

71pintoracer:
Monday in the Queen City there was a loosely organized “Corona Cruise.” People brought their rides out and cruised the Avenue. It was a great turnout and everyone had a good time showing their stuff! There were four main gathering places, Dwayne will know these. This was like the cruising loop. The Mall parking lot, Gypsy Hill Park, Wright’s Dairy Rite and Kline’s Dairy Bar. My brother and some friends got together and decided to gather “votes.” As in “like your car“ votes. So we had my brother’s 95 Mustang with a 351w and a killer paint job, an all original 69 ‘Vette, a beautiful red ‘64 ‘Vette, a really clean 69 Chevy C10 and my 77 Cruising Wagon. Can y’all guess who won?

I wasn't aware of any plans for a car show, but we drove over to Mint Spring Monday afternoon for a weekly jam session with some fellow musicians and encountered a few street rods on White Hill Road just before I reached Route 11.  I commented to my wife that there had obviously been an event somewhere!  Sorry I missed it!

Nice Mustangs and Corvettes are basically a dime a dozen in our particular area, as are old pickups, but a Pinto of any sort is a rare sight so I'm going to guess that your Cruising Wagon garnered the most "people's choice" votes.  Right???
