Does anyone know if the 2000 and 2300 pinto/mustang 2 engines are the same as the 2.0 available in 2nd gen escorts?  Thanks

Not sure for sure.We went from a 1.8 (i think) to a 2.3 and it was a major swap. Motor mounts and all. We have a Hot 2.3 autocross motor for sale or trade cause now we are trying to show in a V-6. Good luck.

No, thay are not the same, you would need to do all kinds of work and ( if you are talking about the 89 and up escorts they are front wheel drive so that would take even more work.
