1971 yellow Pinto hatchback with limited edition chrome strips on rear door, 1600 cc engine

After four decades of ownership, I'm finally parting with my first car.   Its a 1971 Ford Pinto hatchback with the limited edition chrome strips on the back door. It sports a 1600 cc (98 cu.) 4 cylinder engine, manual 4 speed transmission and Mag wheels. I completely rebuilt the engine twice during its 245,388 miles of driving.

It has an after market A/C, but the compressor went bad and I never replaced it. The plumbing and ducting is still in tact though.

The car has been garaged during the last 17 years and ran before I garaged it. (I believe the starter solenoid is locked up right now so I haven't been able to start it recently.)

The drivers seat was completely shot before I swapped it with the passenger seat, which has a couple of tears in it now. The interior is pretty warn out, but the back seat is in pretty good shape. There is one broken interior door handle and a broken window handle.

I'm looking for a buyer who'd like to restore it or at least make it better than it is now.  If you're interested, please contact me rob@futuretek.com.
