1971 Pinto Runabout turn key driver

My 1971 Ford Pinto is up for sale. This is an extremely rare and most desired early 1971 Runabout model with the 1/2 window rear hatch!

This is a LOW MILEAGE RUST FREE California car that still runs it's original Blue and Yellow California Plates. This car is titled in my name, and all current fees are paid to date.

It was repainted some time ago, not bad, but not "show quality", just a decent driver paint job. It has a few nicks but shines good. This interior is 99% original with original seat covers (the front driver seat needs to be recovered, but the passenger seat and back seats covers are still usable and repairable if needed), great door panels, headliner is nice but has a seam that is starting to unravel, carpet is good, the dash has cracks but I have a new custom dash cap on it that makes it look new. You can jump in a drive this car as is without having to do a thing to it.

It has a fresh rebuild on the 2.0 engine and runs strong. The optional automatic transmission shifts great as well.

Most parts are new or rebuilt as follows:
 Rebuilt engine
 Rebuilt carburetor
 Points plugs etc.
 Front Disc Brakes
 Shocks
 Alternator
 Starter
 Battery
 Wheels and Tires
 Custom exhaust
 Steering wheel
 Turn indicator
 Dash pad cover

At my asking price, if you were given a Pinto for FREE and wanted to make it drive and look as good as this car is now, you would have much more than ~$6000.00 into it.

I am a classic car collector, and purchased this little car for a fun inexpensive cruiser. I love it, but it is time to let it go as I have purchased 2 new projects and need the room and $'s for the new toys.

I live here in the Bay Area and can meet you almost anytime for you to view and drive this car. It is housed indoors in my large garage in Hollister California, (40 min south of San Jose)
