Title: R&R fender
Post by: JoeBob on August 09, 2015, 09:06:10 PM
I took off right side fender. It is bolted down into a rail that frames the engine box. It appears that some sort of caulking was spread on the rail to sandwich between fender and this rail.  It might be a glue or a maybe to form a gasket between surfaces. What do I put in it's place?
Thank you

Shouldn't need to put anything down. None of the Pintos I've removed fenders from had that on it, so not sure what it would be for.

Seals the engine bay from water spray / splash from the tires.

If you want the same stuff try a body shop.
Otherwise, silicone will work.
