Hi all,
I am looking to change from a manual brake to power on a 75 wagon. Are there other vehicles that a booster can be pulled from and what modifications they would need to fit?
-
Mustang ii parts should interchange.
-
Is there any other doner vehicles that might work? The mustang II is gating harder to find these days.
-
I know of no other vehicle that will interchange. Oh and it is a bolt in thing provided that you have all the parts needed. What transmission do you have?
-
Tigger,
The car came with a 2.8 and c4 but I am researching a motor/tranny swap. Would like a manual t-5 but not sure on motor yet. Will all Mustang II fit?

I think that there is a difference between the brake pedal mount for the power booster versus the non power booster. If you want to save some time and money try to get a conversion system to add power brakes to your car. It would be an all in one set up instead of trying to put something together piece by piece. Granted the rebuilt parts are available but without the brake pedal mount it's hard to do...See if Fred, etc have any of the parts. I would count on having the booster being old and needing to be replaced.

I know you need a 2.8 bellhousing from a 4-speed Mustang II to go to stick but I don't think it's drilled for the T-5 trans.
-
Just as a note, I believe the Mustang II and Pinto Pedals are slightly different in length. The rest of the power brake parts should swap between the two cars. So if you are planning to go manual trans, then you will need to find a 4spd power brake, brake pedal for your conversion.

Hello '75!
This is a picture of a power brake booster (with pedal) out of a '75. $80 plus ship
if you want the master cylinder too, then it will be $90 plus ship

Cutelitlputtpu tt,
Where are you located? Was the car a manual or auto? Do you know what the condition of the master cylinder is? D.R. Ball stated that there may be a difference between the brake pedal mount from non power to power. Do you have photos of the pedal mount?
