Junkyard pinto wagon with V8 question
« on: February 01, 2012, 08:55:35 AM »
So I found a 75 ford pinto wagon in the local pick and pull. I was looking to see if it had the factory A/C compressor in it for a project for my Jeep (onboard air system). Low and behold when I open the hood sits a V8 mockup. In other words it was literally a empty v8 block with the heads and some chrome valve covers on it. No intake or exhaust manifolds, and no accessory or accessory brackets. The block was actually bolted up to the frame, guess whoever did it got tired of the project, but it left me with questions.

I may do a v8 swap in my Pinto when the current V6 blows up. This thing may have some parts I could buy for cheap, that I would have a hard time getting later, and at a much higher cost.

So the question is what parts do you think I could use off of this bad boy to do my own swap. I am sure I need the motor mounts right? Oil pan or anything like that?
