wiper switch
« on: March 06, 2012, 07:54:15 PM »
I just bought a 1979 Pinto squire wagon from my son. It needs a wiper switch, but every one we have found so far isn't the one that fits in the harness. (We've gotten 4 from wrecking yards, 1974-79) The harness in the car is red and doesn't have a notch in it like the black ones do. Don't know if maybe it's supposed to have a delayed switch?? Anyone have any ideas on where to get the right one? No parts stores have anything listed.
Appreciate any help :)

I have no idea but Rockauto and Autozone do not service that part. Try EvilBay.....Go od luck, mine has a delay but I have not pulled it.

Been told that a Ranger PU switch will work. They have delay wipers too.
Its better to be a has-been, than a never was.

For Eric...if you can send me a picture of the plug-in part of the switch...I'll take it! I've already got 3 that don't work with it.
