I drove out to American Muscle yesterday and picked up a pair of rear quarters for my 77 Bobcat. The pieces are both approximately 24"x51" and extend from the edge of the door opening all the way to the tail lights, from the bottom of the fender to the bottom of the rear window. Brand new .018 gauge steel, they went for $170 each. I don't know exactly if that should be thought of as expensive or not, but I've not seen new sheetmetal for a Pinto in thirty years. These are not NOS, they are currently being manufactured. He also knows of a company talking of making floor pans. Holy cow. I'll be using these fenders in an upcoming article, and if anyone is interested, I'd be happy to e-mail or post photos of them. I'm excited because in one fell swoop some of the worst areas of my car will be solid again, and I can't guess how long it has been since that was the case.
