Warning!!! Newbie!!! Shifter help!!! (To start off with!)
« on: May 20, 2015, 03:28:00 PM »
Hello!

I'm as new as they come (to your forum!). I just bought a 1974 Pinto Wagon with a 4-speed manual. General info: This is a California car with about 50k on it. It's a great start but it never wore sun-block and everything shows the effects of that heat! The best part is the minute haze of rust!!!

Here's my question, and then I'll get out of your collective hair.  Where the heck can I find/buy the shifter repair kit to get rid of all the slop!?!? I've looked on your forum, Green Sales, JC Whitney, Ford Parts and on and on....I promise, if you help me find this kit I won't bother you again...or put you on my Christmas card list!!

The last time I worked on Pintos/Gremlins and Vegas I was still carrying my draft card!

I apologize ahead of time if' I blew the etiquette of your Forum!! I'll improve in the future!!

Welcome! I just bought a 74 Runabout that I am picking up next Tuesday. Here is a link to the bushing you need:
