I need a window crank for the drivers side...
Anyone have one?

Hi Dianne! Congratulation s for buying Brownie from Dave! He's put a lot of blood, sweat, and tears in that wagon... and she's a beaut! :)
If you have an O'Reilly's or other car store, they have a section with Help! parts. They tend to be packages with red cards that the plastic is attached to, and they carry everything from older car window cranks to interior panel fasteners. If you have a junkyard around, that's another good place to look- but sometimes the cranks and other pot-metal stuff (like inside door release levers, etc.) are in even worse shape than yours! Good luck! ;D

I missed this and sorry. I will try on the window stuff. Brownie is now Milo :-D Getting him ready for paint, have some pics up on there. Everytime I ask O'Reilly for anything for the 59 Rambler or 70 Maverick, they come up short most of the time. I'll ask. Finding a Pinto not on the road here might be a tad difficult. I'll call around though and thanks!
Milo is undergoing a facelift now and some needed engine work. Soon the back end will be tinted dark also :)
It's a great project start to say the least!

It may not be the window crank, it's the thing inside the door that the window crank is attached to. The window doesn't go up and down easily and hangs on something. So that thing inside that has teeth and raises and lower the window.

You may need to pull the inner door panel and lubricate the window mechanism (the scissoring part) and whatever else moves to lift or lower the window glass. Good luck! :)

I've got to put the new door panels in, so that may work! I'll let you know, waiting on them to be delivered now!

While you have the door panel(s) off you may what to inspect the 'felt' channel the glass rides in. Due to age/wear they can become frayed and then sort of bunch up in spots.

Thanks, and if it is, is there something that can be purchased to replace it? ebay I guess might have something! LOL

Yes they are available on ePAY I think they refer to it as door glass run channel. I got mine there from Convertible Top Specialists or something like that. If you should need them & can't locate them PM me.
