Source for Carbon Canister Hose
« on: April 29, 2012, 01:50:11 PM »
Anyone out there know of a source for Carbon Canister Hose??  (Goes from the canister up to the air cleaner.)  Sort of cardboard, tinfoil, corrugated crap.  Thanks, jt

When I was searching for the same thing, could not find the right size ,went to plan b . A lot of people I've seen use a rubber hose ,i just carefully extended what I had being that it is a duct type of material anyway.  Hope this helps .  Don.

Try looking at the parts stores, generally it's at the same spot as heater duct hose or smog hose.I know because I've bought it, try Autozone or NAPA.

Autozone,Napa, oriellys,Ford dealer, Baxters, all of them at one time or another have had it , when I went looking for it all said have not seen it in a year or 2 and that was 2 yrs ago. That was here in Oregon. They had some at Napa but was too large of diameter.

I tried the rubber hose I found at Advance Auto.  Just too heavy etc.  I took the canister out, clamped the line.  No muss no fuss.  jt
