sending unit

Over the last few years I have read several post saying that the correct sending unit could not be found. Here is the one I found. It seems to be correct. I have not installed it yet.  looks just like the original.

Did the sending unit fit?  On the Amazon site it states it is not for a Pinto. 

I want one if it fits...

It did not say {not for pinto} when I bought it. It is a side by side match for the original and cross references to the original part number. That is how I found it. I am still a few weeks away from installing the tank. I will let you know when I know. I am sorry if this ends up as a misleading post.
