Title: Seat Belt Soloutions- Invaluable Pinto Resource!
Post by: Henrius on August 01, 2014, 08:50:03 AM
I always like to put a plug in for people who do good work for me.

My 1973 Pinto belts were the two part detachable kind. They were too loose to be safe, and looking kind of shabby.

Seatbelt Solutions (www.seatbeltso lutions.com) is the place to go. I wanted belts that looked close to original, but were safer. The sold me new retractors and hangers with the lap and shoulder belts united, like newer cars have.

The fabric color and weave, and the buckle, look absolutely like the originals!

These people fabricate for other vendors like Snake-Oyl, so the price is cheaper than anyone else I talked to. And they are made in Florida, not China!

Pinto belts are not listed on their website, but just talke to Carlos, who can fabricate belts for any vehicle.

That is a great reference! My '74 Squire had the lap/shoulder belt set-up, but someone cut the shoulder part off. I need a new set for both front seats. Thank you!

Interesting company. I will really only go for the original. Nothing is better than OEM since Ford is the one the backs them and does not want to get sued (they are used to that though). I use

Affordable? No. Cheaper than hospital bills? Yes. They have done every single Pinto I have, all my Fiats, My Toyota truck and my sisters cars. If there is anywhere you need to spend money people, its your seat belts, not your stereos.

Their work is perfection.
