This one, at $1,500 looks pretty good! Rebuilt engine, so it's gonna go quick I think.

LOL, I'm so tempted to buy it. Someone is paying for the Ghia when they get their return. I want a Pinto with some pep though.

Good luck.. :D

Well, I sold it but he's waiting on his tax return and left a small deposit. I'm waiting on that now. But this one is rebuilt. And if you look in the 2nd picture on this post, that's the car he races - a 1985 Ford Thunderbird without the turbo.

Pretty cool!!! Can't wait to see it. But not in a rush and he said he would take 1200 :)

Oh, that's the original paint on it :D

I've never minded the big bumpers but that's probably because I bought my first Pinto new and it was a 1974.  At that point, it was one of the few identifying characteristic s that announced to the world that I was driving a new car!  That was important to me, being a 16-year-old... owning a brand new car was a major accomplishment!  Of course, they were essentially added on to the original design due to government safety mandates so I don't think they blended in as well as on the 1979-80 model years when the entire look was updated with the rectangular headlights.  The Pintos and Bobcats from those years would probably look horrible with the small bumpers!

LOL, yeah it's new :) I got a 1974 Mustang II Ghia new. It had the big bumpers but they looked like they were part of the car, so I didn't mind.

And I think you're right, cars were made for bumper like those and designed with them.

Maybe the big bumpers wouldn't look so bad if they didn't stick out a mile, been thinking about tucking them in on mine..

Well, you can go to pencil bumpers. Big bumpers aren't too bad, they are on my Mustangs. But they match the car I guess. They have fiberglass bumpers made that don't go out that much.

Hey, it's your wifes car ;) LOL
