Parting out 1978 Mustang
« on: April 23, 2013, 02:15:18 PM »
I just picked up this 1978 Mustang for the 2.8L engine. Needed a few parts for my crusing wagon so I'll pick over what I want from it.
Is there anything that people want from this car ? Its is rather good shape! clean paperwork. 77,000 Org Km's . Located in Kamloops BC. No glass in the doors, but the carpet does not even have a rip in it. Almost no rust on the car at all. I'd like to sell it as a whole when I am done with it or just start taking more parts off it.

Does it have the driver side seat rail with two levers? One is the tilt the other is slide, the tilt looks like a "T" handle. I'm in need of one of those seat brackets. I have one, but the seat slide that bolts to the floor is broken in half on one side.

Dave,

I am away from home for the next 2 weeks. When I get back I'll take a look for you.

If you still have it and it's an automatic, I need the spacer that I believe goes between the crankshaft and the flexplate. Or everything between the crank and torque converter.  650-345-5221
I ran a 2000cc Pinto in my roadster at El Mirage for some time. My driver had a MG Midget with a Capri 2000 and automatic with a Corvair Turbocharger I loaned him. I liked those motors. Hard to break them. Now I am trying to deal with a 2.8 V6 in a Bantam pickup for the street.

Does it have stick shift pedals? How good are the door panels and front fenders?
