Title: New turn switch
Post by: warhead2 on April 03, 2024, 07:52:50 AM
I'm posting this here for future reference. This is from Chip Givens on the FB group. This is a new replacement for the turn switch (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240403/02ce5b621920e127c6472a9d663d977e.jpg)

Cool. Thanks for posting. Is there a tech section on site where this kind of stuff can be found? I'm going to be looking for a lot of different parts over the next while.

My 72 wagon uses the same turn signal as a Mustang. The Ford number for a 71-72 Pinto is D2ZZ-13341A which is interchangeabl e with several other Ford cars. When my turn signal finally died, my mechanic called National Parts Depot, among other suppliers, and asked for a Pinto turn signal unit. Of course they just laughed. I gave him the original part number and told him to ask for a 71-72 Mustang with-out tilt steering wheel turn signal and there was no problem finding a new part.
