New Carpet
« on: August 16, 2014, 08:34:30 AM »
I googled them....

Found a few places that sell them new.

Was wondering if other have bought new & what did you get.

Price. Quality. Fit. etc

All my cars are 72s

Also, what is the same or closest to OEM ?
Looking at this site it shows a number of different "cuts".
I have no idea what is like OEM !

The question is whether vendors do the contouring over the spare for the Runabout. Local carpet shops have had a hard time with that.
1973 Pinto Runabout with upgraded 2.0 liter & 4 speed, and factory sunroof. My first car, now restored, and better than it was when it rolled off the assembly line!

no they don't the carpet I got did not have that contouring for the spare. I did however cut it large enough so that over time it would do that. and it did.

I solved the need for the lump going over the spare. I got an aluminum spare rim from a Mustang & installed a 165/80/15 tire on it & it will sit in the well with flat carpet.
