I want to replace my old leaky power steering with manual steering. I'm seeing all sorts of set ups, but what I'm wondering is, what exactly is the distance from the center line is, and what size diameter and tooth count is that spline?
I'm guessing 16" from center line and 9/16" spline with 26 teeth.
Tell me if I'm right and I'll go ahead and buy this one off the shmebay.

Try Rock Auto

When I was road racing Pintos in SCCA, we used the power racks with out the power. Just hook the inlet to the outlet on the rack with a piece on hose and your done. This gives you quicker steering too. Try to fill the hose with oil before installment. Worked for me.

I have done the same as well. Don't fill completely with oil, just enough to keep it really lubed up, leaving a bit of space lets the two sides equalize and breathe back and forth easier. Less effort that way too.
