Koni front shocks

FYI - they tell me they have at least five more pairs in stock.

My set should be here early next week.

(note: the picture they show is wrong, but after e-mailing them and asking questions, the right ones have been sent to me. The picture is "Illustration for reference purposes only")

Thanks for the info Reeves1. FYI Koni use to tell you to break the shock in by setting them on soft for a while.
Its better to be a has-been, than a never was.

They finally got here last Friday.
UPS delivered to the wrong address in town.....and charged me an extra $75.94 in taxes , duty & broker fees.

The package that should contain the top nuts , washers & rubbers are missing.
Package was not broken.
Sent them an e-mail yesterday - no reply yet.

Dick - plan was to use them on soft to start with anyway. I never did find 90/10 shocks.

Ouch, sorry about GST & brokerage. One never knows with UPS.
I have Koni sending me the missing hardware, I will in turn put it in a padded envelope and mail to you.
Sorry for the inconvenience,
Ann

FYI..... I got in touch with Koni to get an idea on rebuilding my original (Koni) shocks.

Their reply:
Thank you for contacting us here at KONI NA. The price to rebuild the 80 series dampers is $140/ea. plus parts. Parts typically range $50-$100 per shock as well when replacing the rods. Current lead time on a rebuild is 6-7 weeks.

So how did the set you got work out?  Not that I'm going to need to worry about it until I get the car back together, but more weight transfer on the hit would be a happy thing...

New set I bought is on the white car & I cannot drive it yet...... looks like next year (unless a buyer pops up ).

I read a week ago on a car forum, Koni no longer re-builds shocks.

I have an NOS - OEM set for the blue car.....

Note: The Koni shocks cannot be set like/ie : 90/10.
They set soft to hard, both ways.
