Good Source for Pinto Rubber
« on: August 15, 2014, 10:01:51 PM »
When my 1973 hood flew open, it tore the drying rubber trim beneath it clipped on the firewall. I thought the chance of finding a new rubber strip for my Pinto was about the same as Hailey's Comet returning early.

Lo and behold, Convertible Top Specialist (www.topsdown.c om) has a newly manufactured rubber part replacement. I also found side window seals from this company.

They are a valuable resource to check for rubber parts!
1973 Pinto Runabout with upgraded 2.0 liter & 4 speed, and factory sunroof. My first car, now restored, and better than it was when it rolled off the assembly line!

Another source for the firewall to hood seal.  I have no experience with SSC but they advertise some parts.
