« on: January 16, 2017, 08:12:24 AM »
Hi all, does anyone know if the Spectra Premium gas tanks sold for 74' and up Pintos will also fit a 72'?

Thanks in advance for any guidance here!

Richard

I have heard of people doing it. it's slightly bigger so longer straps perhaps? and you will see more of it from the back, appears to hang down more because it's bigger. I haven't done the swap myself but it's been done.

I put a later tank on a 72. It does work, but as stated it is larger and you lose the taper look. You would have to either use the later straps or bend your own out of flat stock. I also used the sender for the later tank and soldered shut the return outlet
