Fuel tank for 74’ wagon

Looking for a fuel tank for 74’ wagon.
Everything I’ve found say 71’-73’ or 75’-80’
I seen something saying the 74’ mustang II is the same
If that’s the case I’ll do that. Anyone know?

No one makes a wagon gas tank at this time. You need to find a good used one, or have yours repaired. Getting yours repaired is probably the best option.

You state the need for a tank but not why. More often than not a fuel tank is a problem because of a leak. The wagon tank has the sender mounted in the side of the tank. The sender itself or its seal could be leaking. A leak could also be from the fuel outlet line (rubber), the vapor recovery line (rubber) or the filler neck gasket (rubber). Unless you know for a fact that tank is leaking from rust through it maybe leaking from other areas.
If the tank is know to have holes there are repair places as well as sealants (such as Bill Hirsch) https://www.hirschauto.com/Gas-Tank-Sealer-_-Repair/products/4/ that can be poured in a removed tank to seal them internally. I'm not recommending Hirsch specifically as I have heard mixed reviews on these 'pour in' type sealants. I'm just letting you know they are available. Make sure they are ethanol compatible.

Yea sorry I was wondering more about fitment. Mine doesn’t leak (as of now), it has a giant dent in the bottom though so my gauge reads empty at half a tank. There’s a radiator shop in town that said they could fix it but I’d rather get a new/undented if I could. There’s actually a 73’ wagon in a scrap yard near me, I was going to pull out the tank and give it a try.

Do they sell tanks at the yards in your area? I am near Seattle, Wa. and the yards here puncture fuel tanks before setting the vehicle out.
