Fiberglass Hoods

http://www.andysautosport.com/ford/1971_1980_pinto/exterior/hoods/fiberglass_hoods/unlimited_products/

I sent the place a message asking if they have/make them still. Reply was yes, but made when ordered & wait time was 1-2 weeks.

I've seen a number of people looking for glass hoods.....now you have a place to get them !

I will be ordering at least one in the new year.

Scott - maybe pin this site ?

I do not know their relationship but Andy's Auto Sport appears to be a reseller of UP22 products.  Have not seen any listings for the Bobcat either.

I had 2/3s good luck with Unlimited Products (UP22) in CA (hood and one door was good but pass side door won't fit without major work). I had 100% bad luck buying a trunk lid from the guy in Canada (throwaway junk). Hairy Glass in FL was recommended to me but admit I have not tried them yet.

I could buy (likely) a half doz (or more) , including shipping, for the price of one made here in Alberta.

My experiences with UP22
is they are junk.Needs lots of
finish and bodywork to make presentable.

There is a f/g guy on RJ I have been thinking
of contacting about making a run of glass hoods
for Pintos.

Unlimited products use to made the very best Pinto hoods, with both sides very nice and well finished. The last one I bought was as nice on the side that shows, BUT the under side looked like raw unfinished fiber glass. Seeing as how the freight cost as much as the hood, I keep it, but there was no way to smooth it out. Painted it with that splatter paint made for car trunks. Looked pretty good in the dark.

There is no try.
Only do, or do not.
