I'm thinking 73 rotors are different than 71 and 72... as I recall from when I built my 73? ? ?

Brian not sure on my end maybe late year 71 but I have never seen disc on 71. Best I can tell 72 + 73 are the same.   Fred   :)

I looked online at O'Riley's and they show same Part # for 72 and 73, funny I could have sworn there was a difference and a reason I could only find new rotors listed for $170+ each while building my 73 back in 2007. I found a good set of used and kept the old ones just in case... I recall the 73 rotors being a 1 year only... oh well if I'm wrong I'll blame it on CRS ;)

I have a 71 built in Feb 71 with factory discs and a 71 built in Dec 70 with drums. I am converting the drum 71 to discs from a 73 (they were dirt cheap at $32 for the whole setup so worth the conversion hassle of the different tie rod ends). The 73 spindle is one year only with a larger hole for the 73 up tie rod end but otherwise the same as the 71-72s. The rotors and calipers are the same as the 71-72s. The steering rack is one year only with the larger diameter tie rods like the later years.

good info there 71HANTO, I remembered there was something different with the 73 front end but CRS has set in. I'm thinking Pintony set me straight on this a few years back from what I thought before. Reading your description knocked a little dust off that part of my memory.

I think the '73 rack mounts differently than 71-72 does.
