Do you have a combination shifter gate and change holder in your center console, now that the original rubber around your selector shaft has melted into goo? Here's the replacement, one of those parts-bin parts Pintos shared with the Mustang. I put one in my '78. The fit and function, once I made sure the metal bent in the right arc to fit the console and hit it with some silicone to help the stick slide smoothly. Don't over-torque those mounting screws when you re-attach the console to the floor, or "crrrack!"
