Title: 73 wagon project at the wrecker NorCal
Post by: Rebolting73 on April 16, 2020, 09:15:53 AM
Hi, this one just popped up.  Hood pins and some kind of modified cooling or intercooler showing.  Fairfield California. https://row52.com/Vehicle/Index/RNDzOUcqrgLvxkyOHY7a3sHg3 (https://row52.com/Vehicle/Index/RNDzOUcqrgLvxkyOHY7a3sHg3) at Pick and Pull.  Must be a story on this one. Cheers

Looks like there are two of them identical (for the most part). I've been to that yard many, many times as my brother lives in Orangevale. Unfortunately it is 400 miles from where I live.  I'm not sure if he has moved but this was close to Pintosopher.

I see bumpers, windshields, rotors among things to get. Possibly another case of a guy wanting $4,000 each for the cars then he gets evicted and the landlord calls the junkyard. It would be a much kinder world if people would just ask a reasonable price. They would make some money and someone would get a project or parts car at a reasonable price. We don't know that here but I see it happen a lot.

I often see good restorable cars end up at the junk/scrap yards because the owners died and family comes in and cleans out the home and sees an old car in the back or in the garage  and know nothing about them , just an old car to them , seen many end up this way and when they do end up there at the yard they will not sell the whole car ,  a waste and very sad this happens too often seeing life long projects and hours of work just being tossed out for bucks per pound of metal , I bet that every reading this has a story of seeing this happen ,, stay safe my friends
