Need the 'paper' tube that extends from the air filter. Can't find any substitutions, of course.

Are you talking about the accordion style tube between the air filter housing and the heat shield for the exhaust manifold?  Those are pretty generic and usually are bought by the diameter size and cut to length. If you're talking about the tube to the side of the engine compartment..., you might be able to re-form a dryer vent hose (or similar). Maybe poking around a wrecking yard might produce something suitable. But most likely anything will have to be adapted.
