Woodward Dream Cruise 2014 (Metro Detroit Area)
« on: July 28, 2014, 09:28:28 AM »
The 20th annual Woodward Dream Cruise is coming up on August 16th. Saturday is actually the formal event date, but some of the best actual cruising is on Tuesday to Friday evening prior to the event (on Saturday the street is a parking lot with almost a million spectators). I'll be out every evening the weather allows.

For those who don't know the history of Woodward Avenue, It's the Detroit area landmark that pretty much defined crusing and street racing in the 50's, 60's and early 70's.

I spoke to a couple people at the 2014 Stampede that expressed an interest in bringing their cars out to Woowdard. I have a family member that lives just North of 13 mile and Woodward on a popular residential side road. I'm looking to see if any PCCA members in the area would like to get together for an informal gathering. I'll spring for the burgers, dogs, and soft drinks, and you can have a lawn or driveway just a few feet from Woodward.

We would be about 50 yards from Woodward, but there is plenty of foot traffic, easy access to Woodward, and a back way through the neighborhood to come back and park. It's also three doors from the most popular Irish pub at the center of the strip.

I need a head count. My sister is always asked by the local radio station to sell spaces on her lawn, but she will keep them for Pintos *if* I know you are coming (I'll take care of the $ with her). Even if you are only going to come for a weeknight evening, Let me know. I'll be there

Send me a message through the forum or reply here. This offer is open to PCCA members and Pinto Stampede participants ONLY. No bow tie boys (or girls) need apply.
