I am looking to maybe drive to a couple car shows, and see all the pintos out there.... are there any more this summer that are going to have a pinto presence>?
I live in Michigan, and want to drive  my pinto to see one or two.

Ok...
Norwalk Ohio is about 6 hours away from me...

BUT.........

If we get the new head gasket on and the timing stuff all back to normal, should I even consider driving the pinto that far 1 to 2 days later???

I would love to...but I worry about the poor car...

Got the parts today, working on it tommorrow..... .
wish me luck!

Well, if this tells you anything. For Carlisle I had my car in pieces about 20 hours before I was supposed to leave & I made it there ok. Making it back was another thing. The carb I had rebuilt took one last dump on me & left me stranded 130 miles to go. BUT the thig with my situation was the previous owners told me they had carb problems with the car before. If there ever was a case of a posessed car part, this was it. I got the carb replaced & all is good. I'd make the trip in my Pinto, but I'm a little nervous to take it on a trip until I test it a little more. The carb came from a salvage yard & I'm not too sure how it would fare.
