Pinto/Bobcat Fans,The Ohio Get Together is back!!
Well, if you missed "The Stampede" in Dearborn, don't fret! You can still have some Pinto/Bobcat fun before summer is over. If you made it to "The Stampede", let's do it again!
We are planning a "Pinto Picnic" pitch-in on Sat. Aug. 23rd, 2014 at the Geneva Township Park with a beautiful Lake Erie setting in Geneva-on-the-Lake, Ohio 45 miles east of Cleveland. MARK YOUR CALENDARS!! We will provide the hamburgers, hot dogs, buns, ketchup, mustard, relish, tomatos, onions, lettuce, paper plates, and eating utensils. Pinto/Bobcat owners with a car ending in an even year bring a dessert and those with Pintos/Bobcats ending in an odd year bring a cold side dish or snacks (no electricity). A large pavilion with grills has been reserved just behind the displayed cars in the park.
Bring your own beverages.
If you have never heard of or have never been to Geneva-on-the-Lake, you will want to see this! It's like driving thru a strip of restaurants, bars, shops, amusement rides and gaming from the 1950s and 1960's right on the beautiful backdrop setting of Lake Erie. "The Strip" is packed with visitors in the summer and we will show the cars at the park just a 2-3 minute walk from 'The Strip'... ..fun for the whole family!
Bonus #1 We have invited the Maverick/Comet Club International (MCCI) who will be joining us as guests for their Ohio Meet.Bonus #2: In case you haven't had enough.... We will leave the park at 4pm and caravan to Annabelle's Diner in Mentor, Ohio, 28 miles west on I-90 where there is a very well attended cruise-in at a super cool 50's diner with local band for our evening activity.Bonus #3: We have secured a police escort to get us thru "The Strip" to the parkBonus #4: Just Added!!!! Our own Jim Madison from Missouri will be coming with DJ equipment to DJ the show. He is also bringing item to raffle for the Wounded Warrior Project. Very Cool!!! Thanks Jim!!!!!
This exciting event will begin at the "Chops Grille and Taphouse" parking lot across from the Motel 6 at "Geneva S.R. 534" (exit #218) off I-90 at
10am and we will leave in caravan style at 10:30am.
We will caravan 5-6 miles to town thru "The Strip" to the park. This should be quite the spectacle:
