Any one else going to the show? Lets hook up some where and go in together.
-
ok, how do you get there from the North pole.....and will i need snowtires? ;D
-
just drive due south for about 2500 miles, well see you there ( bringing a crow bar to pry your fingers off the wheel). Tires, yes bring several sets....... :o
-
I was planning on going but I dont think a set of Turbo Coupe wheels makes it a show car. If I change my mind I will let you know. Last year there were a few Pintos there. I was surprised. I was with one of my buddys in his Capri.
Do they alloy BBQs? I have a wagon so I could pile some coolers and stuff, That way I could at least justify driving down there instead of slabbing it on the bike.
-
They dont allow BBQs but if you have a pinto, just register it and show up. No one cares what it really looks like.......... ....
-
I sent my $$ in today so it looks like I will be there in my Woody Wagon. I'll pack a cooler and chairs. I'm not too familar with the area as far as places to meet. I do want to get there pretty early so I dont have to wait in line too long to get in. I can imagine that the parade of cars goes on for a couple blocks.
-
It is the longest line you will be in. Bring extra coolent becouse about every other car will over heat. I have never been there when my car has not over heated. When you enter you will be shown where to go. You will probably drive all the way through the parking lot almost to the end and up a row about 1/4 of the way up. I can get hot there so bring a hat and sun screen.
-
Any one going to the show please email me. We can plan a staged entrance with the guy getting there first letting the next guy who arives get in line ahead of him. Lets talk about this via emails off site and exchange cell phone numbers.
-
I just got an email from a friend who is bringing his all original 71 to the show......... :o
-
You guys need to take LOTS of pictures & I can post them here,
LOTS & LOTS!!!
-
I dont know if I will be going down early or not. I will have to see if there are any cars I can pick up and stash in the area.(i'm a reposseser).
I will know by the friday before the show.
-
About how many Pinto's usually show up? I came down to the Show in 1999 on my way to Palm Springs. I was rushed in looking thru as one of my friends that was with us was not into cars. But, I don't remember seeing any Pinto's? Seemed like it was a good show. There were tons of Mustangs ;D I finally saw a real Stroppe Bronco up close. I wish I could have brought one of my cars there! You guys have fun!
-
Yes there are mostly Mustangs. This Year thee will be a least 4 Pintos if not more.
-
Ok, Its the eve before the show. The Car is ready. Any of you guys still going? I will be driving up from San Diego and it will take me about 1:20 to get there. I will be at the Carrows restaurant at about 7:15 ish. Then getting in line at about 8:00 ish. SEE you there.
I will also be on the chat tonight.
-
Hi Brad,
I'll be there with my son at about 10AM when the gates open for spectators! See you there!
PS It has been raining up here today , but it has stopped and we're not supposed to have anymore rain tomorrow!

I was there today, where do you want the pictures. In a day or so, I could post them, I just need to know where. I got a lot of individual pictures, but I do not think I got a group picture (DOH!) Everyone I met there was nice and willing to share the info they had. I look forward to bringing my Project next year to icrease the number in attendance.

what v8 was that in the red pinto???
-
Oldsmobile! The valve cover had to be dimpled to clear the power brake booster, but the stock cast iron manifolds cleared just fine!

That sure is a different way to mount the hyd. clutch res. and master.

Here's a few photos I took at the show. It was a lot of fun and there were more Pintos this year than I ever remember seeing at this show before. There was a total of eight Pintos present.

That has to be one of the sweetest engine compartments I've ever seen. Any details?
-
Unfortunately, I don't have any details on this car. Some of the others may.
One more photo: the old man at the show (me).
-
That black Pinto is sweet love to talk to owner. Is he a member?
-
I dont think he is a member. I have seen him at this show and several others for a long time.
