2015 Pinto Stampede!!!!

Ladies and gentlemen start your engines it is time for the 2015 Stampede!
 
This year's events will be planned and organized by long time Stampeders Dave Kawa and Jim Madison. 
 
To join in please contact Jim Madison at bulletstopguns@yahoo.com he is the coordinator for the attendees.
 
Theme :  " Opposites Attract "
 
This year we will cruise the scenic back roads of Kentucky, starting in Elizabethtown Ky on July 29th and ending in Springfield Illinois on Friday, July 31st
at the Powerlite Supercruise.
 
First night : Wednesday July 29th. Meet at  Super 8 at 4PM
Super 8 Elizabethtown | Elizabethtown, KY  42701-9150 Motel
 
Call Hotel Directly at 270-769-2800 to book room....Rooms being held under Pintostampede. .
We meet and greet Wednesday night then its off to dinner...at the Back Home Restaurant (A 1872 country home housing a great restaurant)
 
Then ...Thursday  July 30th, 8AM we leave  & head to the Lincoln Park Homestead....A bout a 30 mile trip...Link..

Then Approx 10AM we Head south to Bowling Green Corvette museum, about a 60 mile ride
This is the opposites attract part of the trip (what could be more opposite of a Pinto than a Corvette?)
We will tour museum. We will then have lunch in town (to be announced) and depart toward Kentucky lake and some scenic drives around the dam.

We will continue north towards Paducah, spending night at the Laquinta Inn
We have rooms for this night (Thursday night Still July 30th) Rooms reserved under Pintostampede.
Dinner location that night has not been picked, soon to be announced.

Friday July 31st, we leave at 9AM and drive across the river to Illinois to Metropolis the home of SUPERMAN and a stop to visit the Superman museum

Afterward we head north for Springfield. We are still working on stops , but rest easy , we will find some interesting stops along the way.
We will shoot for 4pm to arrive at the RT 66 Hotel and Conference center.

We check in and have dinner , there is a restaurant at the hotel, and go on the Cruise at 7pm.
 
Now please make all reservations under the Pinto Stampede to get the rates reserved, but make sure you use your credit card and pay seperately.
 
Pinto Stampede : Check in: July 31 Check out: Aug 2
2 Nights at $59.00 a night plus tax  King or double room.
Total stay including tax = $129.80
 
To get the discount you must tell the  front desk the group you are with.
Please reserve room by July 24th.

So far  eight confirmed !! Lets have a large group and win the largest club award at the car show. Last year a Covair club won and they only had 12 cars. We can get a lot more that that!!

Less that two weeks away!! Hope everyone has their Pintos ready to go. I was just informed that we will have a police escort to the Abe Lincoln Car Show from the hotel on Saturday morning! They are also they are planning some "special surprises " for us on Friday and Saturday! (no I don't know what they are) I will be heading towards Elizabethtown late afternoon Tuesday the 28th from Janesville Wisconsin stopping for the night in Indianapolis. Then head south stopping in Louisville KY for lunch.If any one wants to join me send me a pm.

Just got a phone call from Greg Cooper the show organizer of the Show in Springfield. He is very excited to have the Pinto Stampede at his show. We ARE the major attraction!! We will be the feature in the Friday night Cruise.Then for all who want to a drive in movie night! We also have a Police escort at 9:00am to a  reserved "Pinto" section at the show on Saturday. Like ive said , if you cant make the whole drive meet us in Springfield for a GREAT PINTO TIME!!

We had 17 Pintos yesterday!! Had a great time yesterday seeing old friends and making new ones!! Today we cruise to Lincoln's birthplace, Corvette museum, Kentucky lake, Paducah Kentucky.
