What happened to turbopinto.com?
« on: June 04, 2014, 02:51:09 PM »
I remember seeing the forum up a couple years ago before I started planning my swap. Then once I bought a turbo 2.3 it was gone. Is there any archive of it or plans for it to go back up?

I can't answer that, but there are these:

The Ranger Station  http://www.therangerstation.com/

Turbo Ford  http://turboford.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi

NATO  http://www.turbotbird.com/

Each deals with Turbo 2.3's (original) or swap.  Just a warning. Act like you have a Turbo Coupe if you ask questions over at NATO. There are probably Turbo Mustang sites (or associated sections of Mustang Forums) out there too.

You get:

No input file specified.

If you type: http://turbopinto.com/forums

You get that the domain was just registered. Might mean that the original owner let it go I guess. But someone owns it now.

Still dead Jim, go to turboford.com. .......We own that stuff, yes they still talk about the TurboJoe's 2.3 Turbo Pinto and still have some good answers but do not act like your the second coming of turbo anyone. They have  been doing the turboford gig since Ford put a Turbo on a Ford 2.3. V-8 oh we ate that v-8...

It could also mean that the original owner bought it back, registered it with a new host (1&1 Internet), or even that a domain camper bought it. It's hard to tell without knowing who the original registrant was. Now it's an individual in Virginia.
