hood scoop?
« on: April 01, 2013, 06:04:44 PM »
Does anybody have a preferred hood scoop to go with the factory 2.3 intercooler?

BTW, this is going on a '79 Pinto with the (I think) flatter hood.

you could maybe get away with one from an 82ish mustang gt. The factory cooler is offset pretty far and needs a big wide scoop to make it look even
Modest beginnings start with the single blow of a horn man..    Now when you get through with this thing every dickhead in the world is gonna wanna own it.   Do you know anything at all about the internal combustion engine?

I have a '79 Mustang scoop on my '80 & it fits great & looks good,  however it's non-functional which means you will need to modify it to take in air.

Did you have to do any trimming to the hood scoop itself? That looks amazing!

It doesn't look like it was trimmed at all. It was on the car when I got it to clear the draw-thru turbo intake. I always thought it should have been a factory option on this hood. Making it functional would be fairly easy to do.
