heater hoses and fan clearance issues

What are you guys doing about heater hose routing and the defrost/vent motor issues?  I removed the the fan motor since it would interfere with the O2 sensor and do not have my heater hooked up. I disconnected both hoses at the firewall and sweat-soldered a loopback junction for the engine's cooling lines. It's a pretty cramped area and I dont see how heater lines can be hooked up.
