OK, second try (the last 10 minutes of work just crashed). I had to repair the inner fender battery area due to rust. Since the battery has to be move I created a panel that works to the advantage of the turbo. I was able to create the needed clearance for the big IHI turbo and the wastegate actuator. In fact, in one of the pictures you can see a small hole to the upper right of the motor mount. That's a drain hole for the depression I created for the wastegate control. This also eliminates the exhaust bolt problem.
To my surprize I have been told that the '73 has a one year only steering rack (???). Anyway, it isn't conducive to to the swap. So, you can see I ground down a fair portion for clearance.
I slotted everything that relates to the engine and tranmission. You can see the tranmission mount slots. Not shown are the front/back slots. I also slotted the up/down slots on the transmission to unibody mount. You have to remove the inserts that keep it from collapsing when bolted and reweld them to match the slot. I even slotted the unibody as you can never have enough adjustment.
Well, I hope the pictures come through. And thanks everyone for getting me this far.

Beautiful work, it's wonderful seeing clean, fresh reworks like these.
