Title: Mustang 2 front disk swap to early pinto
Post by: pbean09 on June 27, 2008, 01:26:10 PM
OK I just got a FREE 76 M2 cobra. My question is do i have to use the m2 spindle to put the brakes on my 72 pinto. I have the whole car so if i need something I will get it off the car.

Has anyone swapped a disk brake setup from a 76 m2 over to a 72 pinto!

I swapped later pinto discs onto a drum brake car by switching the whole spindle-upright-knuckle(everybody calls it something different).  I'm pretty sure the ball joints just accepted the later part.  When you get in there and take everything apart you will figure it out.  I know I didn't use a lathe, weld anything or spend any real money!
