Title: The Bobscat
Post by: bobscat on June 20, 2008, 08:56:23 AM
Well, I find myself tinkering around every now and than, mainly just with inexpensive little things, and would like to share it with others, (hopefully it will help someone else), or get others opinion so that I can learn some things along the way.

Here is my car.  Unfortunately I do not have any pics of when I first got the car, but I have some older ones that can show some progress.

Here are the door panels that I am working on.  They are not done yet, I was thinking of having some kind of large Pinto emblem or perhaps flames put on them to give them a little bit of styling.  They are made from 1/8" plastic sheet with "speaker box style" carpet molded onto it.

Where do you get the speaker carpet plastic panel?

Actually, I get it from a place that makes it, I am just lucky enough to have an inside source that can get me some scrap every now and then.  It usually has a defect in it, but I just cut my stuff out around it, or sometimes it is not suitable enough for their customer, but looks fine for what I need.
