Title: RADIATOR PROBLEM
Post by: tim 1223 on June 16, 2008, 06:32:17 PM
Hello,
I have a 1978 Mercury Bobcat with the 6 cylinder auto transmission in it.  The problem is that the radiator (upper) hose after driving enough for the motor to warm up swells. There is a lot of pressure built up in it.  If I relieve the pressure the hose goes back to the normal size.  I have blew two hoses already and had one hose come off of the radiator even though I had the clamp on really tight.  I cant figure out why this is happening!

On a side note I have replaced the water pump and the thermostat because they needed to be. The radiator was replaced as well.  Any help would be great.

Thanks Tim
