Title: Value of 2.0 / C-4 ?
Post by: Wittsend on June 13, 2008, 09:56:13 AM
I'm trying to get an idea on the value of my 1973, 2.0 engine I just pulled. It is complete, "Fan to Flexplate - Air Cleaner to Oil Pan." It has 86,000 miles on it. It runs, but smoked some.  Since the car sat for 12 years I'm thinking valve seals. Compression was in the 110-130 range.
There was a "ticking" sound even after I adjusted the valves, but under load it didn't change. So, maybe I just didn't get one right???  The exhaust manifold has a number of cracks.  There is no De-Cel valve. I only put about 500 miles on it, so there is not much more I know.

The C-4 shifted fine. Unfortunately the bellhousing is cracked/broken. The torque converter would be included.

Before I offer them for sale I wanted to get an idea of a fair price, - both to the buyer and myself.

Thanks for any input, Tom
