Just purchased a Ford Focus, and drove it to the East coast, the mid-west and back home to South Texas. It never missed a beat, it is the 2.3 dual overhead cam 4 cylinder, the ZTS version Focus. That little sucker will haul butt.
And still got 30 plus ,miles to a gallon, set the cruise ctl on 75 sometimes 80 and it cruised all day... put over 6000 miles on it since I purchased it in May..
This is Ford's New Pinto (my own opnion of course)..
really happy with it, as I was when I purchased my first Pinto in 1972 (through the military post exchange)in England... It was a Runabout with the 2.3 and a four speed...

Yeah, I understand they are pretty good cars, but I am not too fond of the styling. That is one of those cars that, in my opinion, the wagon is the best looking. Maybe if I actually drove one, I would have a different opinion.
Drove a Focus wagon for my work. Great car. Mike's right set it at 75 and forget it. Didn't lose any power on hills. Only 2 things I didn't like were, the small gas tank (10 gal) and I couldn't keep tires on it. I wore out a set of tires in 6 mo. Had it checked for alignment several times, each time was in factory spec.????
And here I though this was the new pinto...

Same layout (front engine, RWD, 2.3 liter I4 engine), similar body form... heck even the trim around the side windows (especially the rear 1/4 window) is VERY similar.. it's the entry level model of it's manufacturer...

Yeah, your right...
I've seen a couple of these getting new tires at the shop I work at, and they do look somewhat like a Pinto.... And to think... Mercedes makes that car.
thats weird, that that mercedes looks like a pinto, because i know that some people took the pinto 2.3 and put them into the mercedes because it fit right in. looks like mercedes folk are taking a bit more from the pinto.
