Title: quickie t3 turbo question

One those turbo 2.3s that sometimes find themselves shoehorned into unsuspecting little Pintos, is there suppose to be a gasket between the turbine housing and the cast iron exhaust elbow? Either Garrett or IHI? Thanks!

Just thought I would pass this on.  I had the same question about 3 months back.  Because mine was leaking.  There is not a gasket!
I fixed it by lapping the metal and taking the rough spots out (Bill's suggestion).  I also used copper high heat silicone.  It has not leaked since and I have been running it hard.
