Just thought I would share A pic or two of my "Pinto" project. Well ti WAS a Pinto at one time.
Body: 1974 Pinto Wagon
frame: 1992 chopped full size Bronco
motor: 1990 Mustang Boss 302 V8 w/ edelbrock double pump 4bbl carb, Holly contender intake manifold, mickey Thompson heads and valve covers, tuned headers, electronic HEI ignition, twin battery system
Transmission: 5 speed
axles: Bronco posi-traction
transfer body: Dana type 20
Wheels: 5 lug steel
tires: Goodrich 33x12.50R15 Mud Tires
suspension: oversized struts and coil springs on all 4 wheels
Hood: swivels from front - entire front lifts forward for access to motor
Interior: twin leather competition bucket seats and more gauges and switches than an F-16
extras: built in air compressor and 200 psi air tank, 6 high power halogen headlights, high power electric wench
this thing is a real beast.
ps LARA stands for Light Armored Rapid Assault Vehicle
