Title: Rack and Pinion Bellows
Post by: 77pintocw on June 01, 2008, 09:24:05 AM
Hi Folks:

I have to replace one of the bellows on my rack and pinion steering on my '77 CW.  I have two questions, what lubricant do you use to fill the bellows and how do you inject the lubricant into the bellows?

Thanks for your help.

Just use any good chassis grease(same as you use greasing a ball joint or tie rod end)
You use a needle greaser to inject the grease into the bellow then use RTV sealer to seal the hole made by the needle greaser.
You should be able to find a needle grease at your local auto parts store.
Hope this helps.
