i am looking for a headlight switch for a 1977 pinto.
I suggest you just try to get a new one from NAPA , Autozone, or some place like that. It's been awhile since I bought one, but I don't think they cost that much.
The problem with a used one is you don't know what you are getting. Even though the switch may still turn the lights on and off, there are a few things that can go bad, like the bimetal circuit breaker, or the resistor for the dash lights.
I recently bought a new switch for my F150...it cost around $11.
