Title: Windshield gasket, sealer needed?
Post by: wedge446 on May 22, 2008, 07:01:27 PM
I bought a new windshield gasket from autokrafters, it looks good but seeing they don`t answer there email I`ll ask here.

Do I need to use any type of sealer when installing it?
I want to do it right the 1st time, I`m not putting the chrome trim back on either..

Hey wedge446:

Yes you need a sealer, it will leak like a sieve if you don't.  Get a local auto glass installer to do it for you and it should only cost around $50 bucks or so and they will usually guarantee it for life.

If you can beat that (free), I'd sure like to know what that would be. ;)
