I finally got my 1976 Ford Pinto Wagon back on the road. I drove the car from County Line Autowrecking in Ridgecrest Calif on 1-26-08 and after much work , parts etc it's on the road...Hell it even passed smog, with no major hassles btw. And now I have a couple of problems to fix. Like the heater a/c blower not working and I'm missing part of the controls for it....And of course the usual noise coming from the front end when the car goes over a bump (it rattles). All the work I'm just glad I'm not walking to work (3 miles one way). BTW I used both my income tax refund to buy the car and the stimulis check to finish it.....
Congratulations!!! Another Pinto back on the road!
right on
Thanks, I really missed my old 1979 Pinto. Simple , easy to fix and maintain. And now to start the other old car project, my 1971 Datsun 240Z. The Pinto is my primary to and from work car and the Z is going to be my weekend car....

Now this is the best use I have heard so far for a stimulus check!
As far as I'm concerned it's the way the system was set up.......
