Title: Open timing belt and gears...
Post by: Lost Coz on May 11, 2008, 07:12:44 PM
Anyone know if the open timing gears and belt assembly for a 2300 will work on the 2000 motor? I see all knids of setups for the 2300's but can't seem to locate anything for the 2000. Thanks!

The 2.3 cogs will work "IF" you do something about the wider key-way.

Pintony...

Thanks for the quick response. Is the wider key way in all the gears or just the crank? I really like the looks and ease of belt replacement on the open drives.

All the 2.3 key-ways are wider.
