Anyone familiar with these guys?
I was looking through one of my old magazines and saw I had this bookmarked. :read:
The lower spoiler on my '78 is warped due to age. I was wondering if these are any good.
Second question is if they still make them, since my magazine is from '04. :surprised:
I have a front and rear spoiler from them, the front is the mach 1 type, it is kind of flimsy and it is angled back on the sides not straight across like i was hoping. I am not using it right now, just saving it in case something happens to the air dam style I have on the car. The rear spoiler is a nice piece, I was very satisfied with it.
Do you have photos of either of them?
The front looks like this?

I was hoping it would be like the OEM one on my wagon... might have to play with some glass.
:(
If yours is flimsy, you could always reinforce it. If you don't feel capable, any decent body shop could take care of it. (most of these aftermarket body kits have thin spots that need reinforced so they're familar with it...)
Here are pics of the front and back, the front came from JC Whitney, I ordered it about 10 years ago. They showed a pic of the mach1 style but this is what I got. The MAS looks like a cheap imitation of a mach1. I'm sure I can brace it up and use it (I do all of my own work) I just didn't like it that much. I am very happy with the rear, they also have the 3-piece but I thought it made the back of the car look like a maverick.
Thanks for the photos. The car looks nice.
How wide are the wheels and tires on there?
I was hoping for more of the '78 Crusin' Wagon front chin spoiler.
The wheels are cutom made by Boyd Cottington. 15x6 w/ 195/50's on the front, 15x8 w/ 205/15's on the rear. I had them made w/ 2" backspacing so they would meet the edge of the fenders.
I dont know if Whitney offers a spoiler anymore or not, I got that one 10 years ago and it took 3 months. It is a little flimsy but it has held up very well.
Again, looks great.
I have 16x7.5s I am trying to fit on mine... 205|45 fronts 225|40 rears.
I'm worried about rubbing on the front, though.
